Recording of the duo performance by composer Jasna Veličković and violinist Manja Ristić at the Spectrum East event #2 in Belgrade. Veličković is known for pushing the limits of contemporary composition for over a decade. As an outcome of her creativity, she brings us her own instrument VELICON - a custom-designed magnetic interface consisting of permanent magnets in the form of spinning metal balls and vibrating coils.
Ristić applies a wide range of unusual resonances conceptualized and developed in her latest improv-performace-notation system Violin Revealed.
Spectrum East is "an unusual space for the arts" run as a free zone for new approaches in improv and sound-related arts performance, run by harpist Milana Zarić and composer Richard Barrett.
