Peekaboo is a contemporary dance performance that explores the body, the gaze, and memory.
It is the second part of an imagined trilogy by choreographer Bojana Robinson.
Following Mašina, a contemporary dance work dedicated to motherhood and care labour, Robinson continues to examine her role as a woman both in society and within the home. The work also reflects on the presence and absence of women within family histories, while exploring the ways collective memories are formed, carried, and sustained.
With Peekaboo, Bojana Robinson invites us to look closely at what remains on the threshold of visibility and to consider how bodies, experiences, and stories become inscribed in memory.
